ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Second Harvest Community Food Bank was one of 17 food banks to get a massive donation recently.
Second Harvest received 40,000 pounds of various food items from Hy-Vee. Second Harvest Communications Coordinator Blake Haynes told KXCV/KRNW that this donation will be able to service over 30,000 meals.
As for Hy-Vee, the grocery chain has donated more than one million pounds of food this holiday season.KXCV-KRNW
